B. Todd Thompson, Principal

B. Todd Thompson has over 30 years of experience in the areas of general litigation, with an emphasis in hospital law, products liability, and commercial litigation.

Todd attended college and law school at the College of William and Mary, obtaining his undergraduate and law degrees in 1980 and 1984. In 1998, Todd and Byron N. Miller founded the litigation defense firm that is now Thompson Miller & Simpson.

He has represented hospitals, physicians, and product manufacturers throughout Kentucky since 1984, and tried more than 80 cases in Kentucky and other states involving physicians, hospitals and product manufacturers. 

As National Counsel for healthcare providers, Mr. Thompson has represented hospitals and providers in thirteen states. He is a past member of the Kentucky Bar Association’s House of Delegates, the Kentucky Academy of Hospital Attorneys, the Kentucky Defense Counsel and the Defense Research Institute.
